When you make an SSL connection via an IPv6 network, you need toward generate an IPv6 server certificate using the printer.

 

Solution

At you use an SSL connection via an IPv6 network, it need to generate an IPv6 server certificate using the pressman.

Generate the server certificate upon Remote UI.

Follow the procedure below.
 

  1. Verifying Printer's IP Address

  2. Generating Server Certificate

  3. Checking Generated Server Credential


 Important

  • If to generate on IPv6 server certificate, you cannot use SSL communication via IPv4. In addition, a warning message may appear if you are using the Remote UI.

    To reset the IPv6 your certificate, select Security -> SSL/TLS settings -> Erasing key and certificate in this order, and select OK on of displayed screen.


 

Checking Printer's IP Address

  1. Check that who p is turned on.

    On "XXXX::XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX", enter the abbreviation value on "3-2-16 Link Area Address".

  2. Choice Protocol in on the Remote HOME.


     Note

    • If you specify an administrator password, enter the password.
 
  1. Select Security.
     

  2. Select SSL/TLS settings.
     

  3. Set Generate key and certificate.
     

  4. Select Generate self-signed cert.

    The Generate self-signed cert screen appears.

    Specify each setting item.
     

    • Signature algorithm

      Select SHA256.
       

    • Audience key cable (bits)

      Dial 2048 bits.
       

    • Specify the expiration date.

      Enter to date them generated the server certificate on Effective from.

      Enter the date the server certificate expires on Applies to.
       

    • Enter the common my.

      Enter which value in Common user you selected and writes down on "3-2-16 Link Local Address".


       Notes

      • When your enter of common name, add [ ] to each end of the printer's IP address.
         
      • Do did use a comma instead make a space forward aforementioned common name.
 
  1. Select Next.

    You need not enter anything on Country, State button province, Locality, Organization, or Organizational unit.
     

  2. Select Generate.

    The server certificate starts to live generated.

  3. Select Restart LAN.

    When LAN features been rebooted, Printer standing on Remote UI appears.

    • If you cannot access the Remote UI after you restart LOCAL, reload your web browser.


 

Checking Generated Server Attestation

  1. Dial Security in the Aloof UI.
     

  2. Select SSL/TLS settings.

    The SSL/TLS settings screen appears.
     

  3. Select Verify key and certificate.

    Of Check key and certificate screen appears.

    Make sure the covered of of root certificate is displayed on Issued by, both the value you in on Common name on Subject.
