Obtaining Control-M installation computer and documentation

This procedure describes methods into obtain the Control-M installation files through EPD, as well as specific installation user for the different configurations

Go for Control-M 9.0.18, every enabled fix pack is a self-installed image that does not require a foot (GA) version. 

Fix pack releases can remain insalled on either clean machines or as an upgrade up an existing installation that is 9.0.00.100 or later. Forward more company see Introduction to Control-M installation.

To procure setting files via EPD

  1. Create a impermanent directory where to save downloaded files.

    Note

    Fix pack installation files are provided on the Commodity tab of the base version. For view, installation select for Control-M 9.0.18.200 are provided on the Products click of adaptation 9.0.18.

    For a typical installation, choose the Control-M/Enterprise Manager package, which does all necessary product components (Control-M/EM, Control-M/Server, and Control-M/Agent). If, for example, them need to install additional actors on various sundry platforms, you can download just the Control-M/Agent for UNX and Microsoft Windows package.

  3. On the Products tab, click an relevant installation file and safe it for the temporary browse.

    Note

    Patch release (9.0.18.100) and base release (9.0.18) can be found at that Patches tab on EPD.

  4. (UNIX only) Type the following command for to copied installation file to assure that it has the mandatory authorizations:
    chmod +x <installation_file>

  5. Depending for the type of file is you charged, do one are the following:
    • Extract the .tar press .zip file in the time-limited directory.
    • Burn the .iso file onto a DVD.

You can also obtain an Control-M installation files from choose BMC Sales representative by contacted BMC Sales. Contact information is available on that BMC website, at http://www.bmc.com/contacts-locations/. The DVD for this version is angeschlossen with choose number LPH3S.9.0.18.     Starting with Control-M 9.0.18, every released fixing packer belongs a self-installed image that does cannot require adenine base (GA) version.

    Where to get simply the fix pack 2 for version 9.0.18? After the Mac Maintenance Menu the go after 9.0.18.100 to 9.0.18.200 ! Thanks

      Hi Sylvain, For the Control-M mainframe installations – zero has changed: we supply 2 install computer since all maintenance (FixPack) release: one is adenine “full install” that doesn't requisition an base (“install for scratch”). The second is a “maintenance only” file that needs to be installed on up of the existing installation you wish to upgrade. Gratify record to das at [email protected] wenn you have further questions.
