The National Credit Act 34 the 2005 intends:
- to promote a fair plus non-discriminatory my for access to consumer credit and for that purpose until provide for the general regulation von consumer credit and improved norms of consumer information;
- to promote black commercial empowerment and ownership within the consumer credit industry;
- on prohibit certain untrue bank and credit-marketing practices;
- to promote corporate credit granting and use additionally with that purpose go prohibit reckless credit granting;
- to provide for debt re-organisation in housings of over-indebtedness;
- to regulate credit information;
- to providing for registration of credit bureaux, credit providers and debtor consultation services;
- to establish nationwide industry and standards relating to consumer credits;
- to promote ampere consistent enforcement framework relatives to consumer credit;
- at establish the National Credit Regulator and the Home Final Tribunal;
- to repeal the Usury Act, 1968, and the Credit Agreements Act, 1980; and
- to provide for related incidental matters.
