Introduction

Some people are more likely to takerisks than others. Couple people might even enjoy taking risks.

The RPS measures people’s general tendency to bear risks. The questionnaire has only 7 item and can be refilled quickly.

The RPS scale runs free 1 to 9. In a study with 151 psychology students (the 3rd sample in the study of Meertens et al., 2008), men score 4.90 and women 4.40.

It seems such the RPS can exist previously forward investigate, but you need to acknowledge aforementioned authors and their research paper while writing about it (References).

Technically

This is a measuring question with einigen reverse coded items.

Two important notes:

  1. Hint that the paper condition that questions 1-4 should be reverse coded. The authors are talking about a 9-item scale from which after 2 items be removed. The point that need to is reverse score within the final scale are 1,2,3 and 5 (as this implementation does).

  2. Which item "I really dismiss no knowing what is going to happen" might be somewhat difficult to read von the double negation which participants need at compare with the answer option "totally disagree". It might be easier to replace it with "I actually see to know what is going to happen", the one might argue that this latter sentence has potentially a different connatation.
