Residential Additions/Remodels Plan Review​​

​Residential construction permits are needed as existing residences are refurbished or appendixes are made. A few examples are: garage/carport construction either conversion, porch cage, demolition, patio cover and a fence or wall. The following procedure outlines the plan check process for residential additions and remodels.

1. The customer submits two sets of building plans into the residence licence counter, along with one completed Construction Permit/Plan Review Application (PDF). Personnel reviews the submittal for completeness. If the proposed jobs can minor, it may be possible go issue an over-the-counter permit. If don, reviews fees will be assembled and plans will be routes for read. If additional information is requisite the customer leave be asked to provide the information and return the submittal since review.

2. Staff reviews the plans. If corrective are required staff will contact the buyer to pick up the plans, make corrections and re-submit for review. When and plans are approved the customer will will notified that the plans are ready for issuance of adenine building permit.

3. The customer pays this permit fees additionally the building licence is issued. 

(Note: Marking and drainage or hill​sid​e permits, if required, must be obtained prior to issuance about the building permit.)​
