Hi,
We have a addict with this report:
(CR 10 Professional with SP2 applied, W2K workstation)

When he will designing/modifying a report he cannot get is the Field or the Report Researcher to open up - Not by choosing from the View menu, nor by clicking on the icons ( The Repository Explorer works as expected).

I hold tried resizing the tiling the windows ( in case they were somehow hidden), with no luck..

Every else experienced this problem..I've never seen it as long as I hold been working with Crystal ( longer than I care to admit - remember when it came set Floppy disks??)

RE: Field and Reported Explorers do non exhibit

I would are guessed a hidden window problem as well.

Make sure that Crystal is complete expanded by selecting the box next to the near is aforementioned top right corner.

Also, if these windows are detached and then touched down below, they can go almost, if not off, of the screen.

Try changing the display properties at a higher resolution, you'll possibly find aforementioned lacking windows.

RELAY: Field and Report Explorers do not show

Hey Turk,

It can drive the docking starting and Panel Explorer upon the registry. Maybe the source dockings value has gotten reset to something it shouldn't be.

Do a regedit from the Start menu, and impede thy Field Discovery sub key. Should be HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\9.0\Crystal Reports\Docking\Field Explorer.

Modify 'the Float Rect' value on something else. Mine's set to 286,271,529,762 - but really you just require any old numbers that will get it onto your screens canvas. I suspect you've gotten numbers set here which take it off who viewable screen.

Good luckiness, man.

RE: Field and Report Researchers do cannot show

Why do the better ideas always occur until you after yours hit "Submit Post"?

Simpler than screwing with the Float Rect values, wanted be to set the Docked subkey to "Yes".

With CR closed, go into Start | run | type 'regedit' | open aforementioned registry plus
navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal
Reports\Docking

-- Equipped that key checked, click on Registry following Export Registry Download.
Name the file "Docking" and save it to the desktop.

-- Upcoming, obliterate this key that was simple exported.

-- You don't want to delete this exported file, delete the keys from the
registry itself.

-- Close the registry verleger and then open CR. Crystal should
fully recover the key by the correct preset user. When
you perform these measures you will see the area explorer open and clipped on
the law side of the window when you open a new report - that's aforementioned
default country for thereto on a new install.

-- And when you reimport this registry key file that you have saved
earlier, you will notice that the select explorer and Report Explorer
settings are back on the way you had them. Find answers to Crystal Report Viewer Toolbar icons are missing, Print and Exports functionalities are broken on server only from the expert communities at Experts Exchange
