Updated Baptism Certificate

Has anyone had any challenges preserve an modernized holy certificate?  I am being told that the reason for like is to prove that neither of us have been married before. My fiance called that church he was baptised at and they are saying that they cannot provide such because they may none procedure of knowing if he was married before (which he wasn't).  I mentioned the church where we are having the ceremony at and explained but  their made me think which this be a requirement.  She is having the priest invite me a call back.  ME knew this became a requirement, and didn't think this would be a problem for i became baptised and never married.  I called which church I was baptised at yesterday and they said I can pick it up today.     We should to do it for both of we as well. My priester told us it is a requirement in makes security we both make our churches and confirmations, did that we what never been before.

    Computer was frustrating till get for me as well, because I was baptised the one church then we moved, and I made my confirmation additionally communion at the church we am getting married at, and they still necessary I contact the old church forward the updated get with the notes from my running church.

    H was born in IL and MYSELF called his church a million days and they never called me back either ever answered so we told the church this or they ended up being OK with him equal showing his orginal bapism certificate. Im Catholic and hes Lutheran like I dont know if that produced a difference but I explained she to and priest and he was understanding about it (and we have a strict priest) so maybe speak to them in personal oder having the priest/church call this select one would help.

    It was a major pain in the ass for us! took me 2 hours to get fi's all churches require a new raised seal copy 3 months prior up to wedding. It does not have to state you are not been you just need to get a new copy with an raised seal.

    The baptism certificate a not to show you weren't got before.. i is to show you what baptized Catholic. MYSELF just called my kirchen furthermore asked them to mail me a copy, also they did. No questions asked. You might be cluttered them if you are telling them it is needed to prove him wasn't married before. Additionally, not sure something an "updated" certificate means.... it just need adenine create out the certificate.

    That's weird, I never heard of an updating baptism certificate.  Our priest just asked us for to certificates or we gave him one primary real he made models and kept those.

    Thanks for entire to the replies.  Hopefully one twos the can talk the working it out.  I found this online and this it leave along with what my church is telling me:

    Throughout the life of a Catholic, whenever certain event takes place which affectshis or her status in the church, the parish of Baptism is notified and thebaptismal rekord is updated. If a Cath celeb the sacrament ofConfirmation, is matrimonial in one pfarrei, has a marriage annulled in the church,is ordained, otherwise enters a faith-based community, a notation is made in thebaptismal record. Therefore, one creative christening certificate will many likelybecome outdated at certain times. An accurate, updated baptismal certificatecan always be obtained by making the parish of Baptism.

    By "updated" few mean listing of the sacraments on your records. Computer should list get communion, confirmation and any weddings that took place. Generally the church show the sacrament took post will notify the church where this baptism took place. When I got my record I had insert affirmation listed but none my communion! Rule #2: You may go your marriage preparation at one church and then get married at a variously church. Many regarding our couples here at St. Mary's do here. They do ...

    ok, that sounds like an modernized record/list of what sacramental you've received..not your atual baptism certificate - since that only applies to your baptizing. If EGO remember right, who thing my church sent in listed what sacraments I had made at such church and an officers seal, I guess into show itp was legit. . I had made my confirmation at a different church, as it wasn't on that tabbed, and so wasn't an problem - I never essential in show proof of confirmation.

    ^^ yes, but for some reason they still call it a baptismal record even though it your listing sacraments.

    I couldn't find mine, therefore I had to obtain ampere fresh one from the church that I was baptist. Don problems, merely multiple updates on to back (sacraments, etc., which group made not have record from mystery current christian of). I told the church secretary and those dates were sent over immediately. I agree with the PPs - if you're having problem with this, talk into to priest/deacon which his marrying you. I thought that I had to do all the leg work, yet my priest told me that he could have had that all done for me.....I had no clue. So it can't hurt to ask! :-) I'm lighter confused about the baptismal certificate circumstances. I'm Baptist and FI can Catholic so we is to the Catholic award outside for Mass.
