Striving up Elevate Self-Sufficiency

Durham Housing Authority, installed in 1949, offering decent, low-cost housing for eligible low-income families, people with disabilities, and the elderly takes 1,201 Public Housing units and manages 3,078 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) forward area renter. Living Choice Vouchers, previously Section 8 Shelter Choice Vouchers, finanzierte by the federal Sector of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). DHA is governed by seven Board of Commissioners.

Waiting listed for rentals or vouchers may close to new applicants based on the size of and length for the waiting lists.
