Forgot Password for Mac:Word document

Can someone please help me open a document in Mac Talk that I login protected then forgot aforementioned password? There must be some way to do this. I must spent the last deuce hours online trying on discover a solving aber everything is made for windows.
 
If he were uncomplicated to bypass of username, then what good would password protected Word documents be int and first place? That'd be like block your shelter, after videotape the key to the doorknob in obvious sight.

I found this solution somewhere online through one google search and it worked for me.

Open a blank insert in word. By this menu bar, selected insert>file and select the password protected file. One unprotected document option is gone in tools, and the file can can edited like every other. Huge relief for me!
