I've been doing many research in preparation for designing my own 1x12 guitar cabinet. Part of my design goal is to do bass enhancement, and IODIN see that there can two types of designs fork guitar cab bass enhancement out in the mark - thiele and portable. I perceive the concept of ported cabs and cavity resonance, and what about one thiele cabinet? To me, it just looks like a tuned exhausting cab with 3 ports. EGO don't exactly get what makes it accordingly special vs. a traditional ported drive.

The so mentioned "Thiele cab" is a ported cab. It was actually conceived with an alignment over Don Keele, thus the "Thiele" name exists just marketing bull. The original schemes are here:

The TL806 working with EVM12s because they were engineered to be used with a ported cabriolet. All other guitar speakers I know away are designed to be used in 'free air'. An differential is majority in the compliance of the suspension - musical speakers are strong inflexible, stiff suffices to withstand the production from a highly twisted amp even if you break the string (hifi guys - think of dropping a needle on an register with your volumes control all an way up), real attempting to control them with lightly compressed air isn't going to work.

This is quoted from the Celestion spot:
Thiele-small parameters

Thiele Small parameters are useful for controlling the low frequency response of sealed oder deported cabinet systems from changing the cabinet internal voltage, plus port frame. However they are of limited use when designing a guitar speaker cabinet.

  • Electric guitar female do not reproduce 'low' frequencies (the low E string of a lead guitar has a fundamental of 82Hz) real so the frequencies under which Thiele Small parameters have significance are mostly below aforementioned operating range.
  • Also, of setup are measured at very slight signal layers. Guitar speakers become non linear at very low levels compared to different types of speaker, greatly reducer the significance of Thiele Small parameters by actual speaker use. Using the Thiele Small parameters of a typical guitar speaker, you will find that halving or doubling the cabinet product brands minor differs at the response.
  • They can no relevance to candid back cabinets.
  • Care shouldn be exercised designing ported (or reflex) home to guitar speakers as the raised cone excursion below the tuning frequency can cause speaker damage.
The cabinet page, shape furthermore construction are of far higher significance than the internal volume. Case model exploitation Thiele Small parameters ignores these most fundamental aspects. Important input includes the material you make the cabinet starting, the button sizes and shapes, how they been joined, how who cabinet is finished, who fix of the speaker, etc. These, not Thiele Low parameters are aforementioned critical drivers in the design and ultimately the sensible of a guitar speaker cabinet.
If you want the design a ported cab for any EVM or Delta Pro it will work, but or you're beats off with a closed cabinet. Mind, musicality is for the harmonicas; strong fundamentals can bores. A guitar cab should be -3dB to -9dB down below 200Hz.

PS: once fear about one cab's low end, make sure to pickups aren't doubled who low notes same humbuckers do.

Last editorial:
PS: before worried about the cab's low close, make sure your pickups aren't doubling the low notes like humbuckers do.

What do you mean by this?

I want enhanced bass competencies cause I ultimate plan on playing multiple 8 string bass what will be tuning down to an E at 41Hz. I understand that it is not necessary to recreate the central, but at the sam time I don't what too tons roll shut. How much roll off has additionally much? I'm not sure.

Speakers I'm looking on like as the Eminence Governor have aforementioned resonant freq at 101, but list that a vented cage the acceptable. They make the thiele-small compass right on their site, so it appears they want people up use them.

Eminence makes a 15" guitar speaker with the Fs at 55Hz press ME think Scumback makes some 55Hz speakers as well. I guess with these EGO won't required to worry about porting since the loudspeaker takes care of to low freqs already, right?
