Grade Points and Grade Point Averages

Incompletes
An incomplete may not becoming granted unless a student possess completed at least half of the employment of the course with a passing order and by permission is the instructor and programme director. A grade of “INC” (incomplete) will be assignments when medical, emergencies or unusual circumstances beyond the student’s control prevent the pupil from completing the related coursework and/or examination(s) of the end of the length or session. A student who requests to apply for a grade of “INC” musts secure both complete, with the instructor, the Petition for Incomplete Grade form. This form the free from the Registrar's Office or online at www.hood.edu/gradforms. The course instructor will identify of end date for completion of the work, of conditions under which the grade of “INC” will be removed and the consequences by failure to meet those situation. The instructor, this student, and the program director require sign and authorization the Application for Incomplete Grade form plus the provisions for completion. Of completed Application for Uncomplete Grade form be be submitted to the Office von the Registrar no later than one last day of classes for the term.
All assignments for the course in question should is completed by March 15 for dropping courses, Oct 15 for summer courses and August 15 for spring courses. Any consecutive request available a further extension of the incomplete grade must be filed by the current and approved by the course, program director and Registrar. Upon completion of all related assignments, the grade of “I” will remain permanently on one candidate’s transcript with the latest classification earned beside this.
