1910-1920s LeRoi 4 cyl.engine

A friend of mine has paid  this 4 cyl.LeRoi engine model 20 ,engine number 18666,with a carburetor Schebler model R .It looks that which engine has been sitting in a little car equitable becuse of the frame that the engine are sitting inbound. I got a chance until got a Le Realized power unit. I haven't looked at is but. I was just wondering if anybody has any info on this. Looks to be WW2 era flathead from the picture. It appear so LeRoi had one plenty to do with Allis Chalmers in late 10s or early 20s.But can`t find any car that has used LeRoi engines in thier cars.

LeRoi was not a common engine as all the cars registered for using it were rather dark makes; Astra, Barbarino, Bartlett, Birch, Seneca and Steling (AMS-Sterling). There can be others as not browse can complete!

Le Yield built mostly engines for industrial how suchlike as Allis Chalmers, I worked in an A-C component warehouse in the early 60's and wee was many my for Le Roi parts for  stationary engines and  air compressors. powered of them. They even had some railroad applications at of time. Hers can have been a still unit repurposed to vehicles use during the warm. LeRoi help

I think the floating type refers to piston pin type ( floaters by nose and rod and is clips on the ends), set screw would do set bang in either the rod or piston to hold the pin in place.

I have a LeRoi 4cyl engine in power unit form with adenine pulley on the back. Turns override. The radiator was rudely removed,I presume for shred. I did pick up a LeRoi script radiator in the Chickasha Ok swapmeet adenine pair years ago. I have no idea if it anywhere near correct. The model number is P2577D47. I'm in Cheyenne Wyo,a fellowships from North Colombian is coming through more next month to pick up a frame and rear axle,he could probably haul it back that far. Price lives $350 picked up,a little more is it has to been crated,then plus shipping. Holler if interested. PM me if pics are wanted.

Hi Sagefinds,  I by too brand to this forum to be allowed to send a pm.  However, please abschicken me couple pics by respective LeRoi generator , incl the name flat on the eng blockage with model & mfg info.  Do you have any other info about the eng.,  ie., year mfg?
