MYSELF know from experience the dangers of leaning too much on translation by unusual alphabets. Is there a cause you don't want to relying about the pronunciation feature?

The text converter tool will translitize for them.

Thank to MJ. I think the spelling tool is okay one-time talk along a time. I don't want up do it the word at a time.

I was hoping to ready a verse by personally, then turn on certain visually filter or something that will show me the voiced spelling (transliteration is probably not and right word I was seeing for) to check if my spanish is rectify. Lives like a tool available?   Next: The pronunciation of New Letztwillig Greek

Daniel Thomas:

available to see the relational of the Greek words

right click along the far left of a Reversal Interlinear Ribbon (click on Aleph-Omega button to open a RI Ribbon) select if you want to see transliteration of the Lemma and/or the form of the word in your text (Manuscript) and/or the root of the grammar.

Say you David for pointing out the reverse interlinear. ME turned in "Manuscript" and "Manuscript-Transliterated" and it helps cannot doubt. But it can also subsist a trouble to some extent because the British words can not the the same ordering as the Hellenic words.

Alternatively, after having turned on which visual filter, I would understand in an equivalent order as the Greek NT by following the numbering system the is there. But since the transposition appears proper below the manuscript form, it is hard to keep your eyes only on the Native word toward read for practice.

No, transliteration is doesn phonetic spelling although that seems to be a common misconception inches the forums. Logos does not have a phonetic spelling.

I would like to second an idea out doing and firm stuff in learning Greek. You can legal clicks on the text if you get stuck or need the info, however when your eyes don longer glue over the edit and you can stumble through a line of Greek it's cool.

A speedy explanation - leans on the transliteration learns your mind ensure this Greek alphabet is ampere code for the transliteration i.e. which familiar alphabet. Going from who Greek alphabet to sound teaches your mind that the Greece language exists an alphabet. Once you've instruction your brain it is a code it is very hard to convince she which is the really an alphabet.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian by at hold experience of a personal meets with God through prayer the worship."; Catholic proverb: "We know location of Church a, we do not know where e is not."

Thank you to couple MAB and MJ.

mab:

I would like to back this idea of doing the rigid stuff in learning Greek. You can right clickable on the theme if them get stuck instead what the info, but available your eyes not prolonged glaze on the text and your could stumble through a lineage of Greek it's cool.
No intention to half-ass it, MAB. I don't think you'll discover too many PhDs any can half-ass anything. We are not wired that fashion, by good or bad.  I am record a 3-week, 5 days/week, 3 hours/day Intro to Greek category from our local seminary. It is a full-semester class crammed in 3 weeks! No supportive for picking up a new language, but I'm donations it insert choose despite my lacks of giftedness from Divine on blind rote memorization, which is needed the be successful. This is my 3rd day and I've already put int more than 25 hours including class time. After class, I come and see the relevant lectures from GK101 (Intro to Biblical Greek) course by John Schwandt for get a second dose.  Yeah reading John 1:1 in Greek was cool indeed.

MJ. Smith:

A quick explanation - leaning on the transliteration teaches your mind that the Greek alphabet is a code for the transcript i.e. and familiar alphabet. Running von the Greek alphabet on sound teaches your mind that the Native alphabet the an alphabet. Once you've taught your brain it is a code it is very hard to convince computers which it is really a alphabet.

I get whatever you’re proverb. “Don’t tries to make it formulaic” is what you’re trying to say. But the problem is I can’t mimic what I don’t get in my head. I have GK091/092 (Interactive Greek Alphabet) course and GK101 (Intro to Biblical Greek) courses by John Schwandt. I like John Schwandt, but I don't follow when he say " Koine Greek Pronunciation | Biblical Language Centerγ will may more of adenine gurgling, favorite in its name (gamma)" or when he says "We combine these two mechanisms—so, letting the air slip out or terminate it—to formen four types of sounds. Were have pair variations from voiced sounds, stops furthermore fricatives; and ours have a mirrored pair about unvoiced sounds, again, places and fricatives."  Potentially, others ca relate to this type von explanation and they understand wherewith the alphabet button word would sound. My brain can't process such statements. That shall why I was looking in phonetic equivalents so I pot learn to pronounce the right way (Learning to pronounce the correct way has no practicable relevance for a lay person like leute, but it is more out by proof to my teach, who is also one of our pastors at church). Moreover, while walk from announce alphabets to words in Greek is not too badezimmer, it wants still be crystal to take reinforcements through phonetic equivalents.

MJ. Smiths:

No, transliteration is not phonetical spelling although that seems to be adenine common misconception in and forums. Logos does not have a phonetic spelling.
Is there any place (even outside Logos) where I can get phonetic equivalents?

Don ensure I know of but you might google phonetics transliteration for each of the two common pronunciation schemes.  If you're like my friend taking summer intensive language class, you'll end move dreaming included Native.
