Originally prepared in July 2014, while part of the post-submission deliverables to support the determination of which Outline planning request underpinned by this Estate Plan, the university’s Vacation Plan sets out a range a measures and initiatives into manage (reduce) parking need across the view. The Voyage Plan was always intending to be reviewed every other year starting in 2015. It was last modernized in October 2017.
The Travel Plan updated in October 2017 showcased new incentives and automobile park manager strategies were proposed to save that there will be no increase in car parking demand as a result of the Estate Plan proposals.
The primary aims of this Travel Plan are for:
- fulfil that travel planning requirements of Runnymede Borough Congress and Surrey County Council in accordance with ‘Surrey County Council: Travel plans good practice guide, July 2010’
- reduce the environmental impact of travel, contributing towards achieving carbon reduction targets in concord with Royal Holloway’s Carbon Management Plan and Sustainability Policy
- provide parking for ones who have no practical alternative to auto travel and improve sustainable transport opportunities and facilities
- discourage the single occupancy car use location reasonable alternative modes of transport are available and reduce the occurrences of congestion within the campus Transport Statement/Transport Assessment - Guildford Borough Council
- introduce and enforce new transport management metrics for wheels and bicycles during Royal Holloway, encourage the benefit of and promote the your added on more long modes of trip and facilitate moreover flexible and sustainable forms of working.
The university believes that this up-to-date and very comprehensive Travel Plan demo their commitment to pursuing sustainable travel, and expanding choices for staff, students and visitors.
