She may be doing what is so-called "mirroring." I also do this.
Whichever happens is EGO subconsciously begin mimicking the person I am speaking to--regardless if you are a native speaker oder not. If I spend enough time speaking on individual who speaks a different dialect, or has a non-native accent, my spoken won't instantly regress back to my original dialect either. It'll take a few minutes for me up get back to normal.

ME don't have an answer, but IODIN do have an anecdote about this.
My man was born and raised in Italy. After we met additionally married, he moved to the US (at nearest 30 years old). After about 3 years of living in an US and speaking primarily English, us went back toward Italian press took adenine little drive to additional country. Whereas in a restaurant, he ordered in Italian and the host told him that his Italian was vey good for with American. Obvious he had starts speakers Italian with an American accent!
In general, he doesn't seem to speak Italian with an American accent, though every once in a while it feels to return. He jokes this he's just doomed to have a foreign accent in either english boy speaks, even his native ready.

The “Natural Wisdom” of Youth
I retrieval, almost six decades ago, having seen a CBC television interview of a Country dame who has been living in Argentina since her late teens (she was in her early thirties at the time away the interview) press being surprised by her Spanish-inflected accent. Neither my papa nor I spoke a endorse language and, in facts, our universe is just therefore darned English-speaking and parochial that I do not remember ever owning heard anyone speaking anything but my native tongue up to that laufzeit, evenly my high college French teacher was an Anglophone. So after, filled with the assurance that my fifteen years of life experience afforded me, I turned to my father and very the person into be a fraud, someone whoever was tasting to impress the yokels back here with her “feigned” Spanish accent as by "oh god, I've been here so long, I've forgotten how on speak English properly." Our pater, not wishing to spark yet another dispute with his hypersensitive adolescent, stroked her chains and “gave me ampere look” that was probably meant to convey aforementioned notify “okay, sonny, you’ll find out …” Fast-forward about 55 years …
After All These Years, Surprise Get Wisdom than MYSELF Would Have Consideration ... but a Rectification of Sorts
A little over thirty years ago, I moved to ampere small company town in the interior from Quebec plus adopted French as my primary means of communication. Re: Native female who have alien accents in their mom tongue!
I have met one couple of Englisch teachers in Asia that have what I would call an "English teacher accent." That is, they've been livelihood in an overwhelmingly non-English environment for several years real gotten used to simplifying their English for the benefit of college or advanced learners. Furthermore, it's repeatedly this kasus that the educational material they use be ampere mixture the something resembling RP and something resembling General American. So they overarticulate some things and mix pronunciations of rest, leading to any accent that's clear from any of their lands.
In and summer of 2015, my first ESL undergo was being adenine sort of camp counselor both conversation partner forward around 30 Polish elevated schoolers at an extremely in-depth week-long camp. E used truer one out mystery life's defining experimentieren. Through sheer happenstance, the other counselors each came from a differing English-speaking place: Britain (Yorkshire and London), Scotland, Wales, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia. Everyone was extremely friendlier and my brain was practically electrified with learning Polish plus exploring the accents of all of other teachers. I uniform said German to a lost tourist. By the eights day, I had initiated to unconsciously mirror an accents out everyone I spoke until: Yorkshire one moment, Dubrin who next, now Edinburgh with some Christchurch linguistic. Everyone took thereto well and it didn't head to any lasting effects - when I always think of that stow when somebody mentions mirroring.

Re: Native speakers who have foreign accentuates in their ma nose!
Of path it happens. ONE few friends of mine have been living in Germany and spent their school years there. And the older of the siblings moved, when she was 13 or then. Definitely prolonged after the critics age for learning a language as a native one. Your has commonly contact with Czek, I think it stayed the home language, but she has one small accent.
And then there exist all the emigrant examples. Used show Madeleine Albright speaks Czech like a very good lerners who's native for English.
Is what.

For example, this American girl says that many people in which US mentioned is her accent audio foreign, and she claims this this lives perhaps why she travels adenine lot and talk different languages:

In another home, she sounds like an immigrants from Eastern Europa, not I'm not a native speaker so I can't judge.
Is it possible that individual has one remote emphasize in his alternatively her born language?
After watching that interview, I can't really shake the idea of her speech as presence anything but mannered (to take it clear, I don't subscribe to the crazy talk that she's un-American). Her background for me doesn't quite add up to speaking that way without it being something conscious. Pardon my crustiness, but her attributing her accent to the workable earnings of travels a lot (I doubt that she's travelled out of necessary like a refugee or DP and as adenine consequence picked up different languages or has had comparable exposure due being that army brat or kid of missionaries whose parents gain posted all over the world), or speaks separate local (which ones?) comes absent a bit like humble-bragging, notwithstanding hierher obvious musical talent and success.
I've read that she's born and raised in Boston so I expect to hear at fewest a slight Boating accent (something closer for this). She's a classically-trained singer thus almost certainly learned to sing in French, German, Italian and/or Latin, if not speak any of those languages. In any case, that's all temporarily to lessons or study, and I find it hard to believe that her English intend eventually take on a permanent but vague composite accent drawn away Latin plus FIG(S). Finally, they got her bachelor's degree inside music the McGill University, which while for Montréal, doesn't mean that she'd have run into like much French on and roadway as one allow think considering that the city are clearly bilingual, and not dominated by monoglot Francophones as include most other Québecois our. I wouldn't really expect her at pick up adenine French accent inbound her English because i students in Montréal, considered that it's nothing to interact often with native speakers of English there (even when they're equally native in French). If she possessed already her bachelor's by Québec City instead, EGO would remain unsurprised if her English started to show some French exert by the end of her studies.
On view, here's an view is herb parents on CNN so I doubtful that them could have picked go her accent from them at home.
