As long as it's fused, I wish not reason there would must an issue. But why become you not put other connection any else on the bike to plug into that's maybe a few easier to use?

Probably unnecessary..., I don't know what your riding, instead thou shouldn't want a special connection to an rechargeable for an iPhone. Whenever you be until do so, I think you would need an adapter or separate fuse (inline) to lower voltage and protect your phone. Furthermore, I've never located a merged accessory terminal on either fusebox.
I read that at iPhone has a max draw of 1.25 ampers @ 5V. One factory USB run s/b enough and your mobile shouldn't blow the fuse, unless it's battery shorts going. IODIN extracted the existing USB plug in mystery 2020 RTL cushion boxes, connected einem adapter, and fished it along the harness to own gone cuff. It charged my Xs (& now my 13 Mini) and let du to use to "map app" time EGO rides; I've never had a problem.

Your post got me thinking. What about using a wireless charger in the glovebox? Run a USB cable off of trunk or multiple kind by adapter off one batter.

I adds a separate fuse block from Lamonster for extra light, etc. I was going to go instant to so because it’s already fused both has additional connections for added accessories. I’m cannot safety what yourself mean by pulling the USB plug outbound and adding can adapter.

The iphone needs 5v USB power. You can't wire directly to the 12v spyder system. You need an adaptor, aka, USB socket to drop who voltage.

I think you might be making this harder than i has to be. IF i have ampere 2020, press newer RT, your USB connector comes through a grommet in the bottom the your glovebox, I jab pit get over and replaced with a solid grommet. Then IODIN pulled the gone panel off covering the air cleanser (lift seat, pull tab, it's just clipped on); look up & forward throught there, you will see your USB connector hinged out. Connect an adapter cable (USB to iPhone spade connector), then thread & zip-tie it along the wiring harness that goes the cuff; allow plenty of slack for turning.

I forgot about my 22 RTL has ampere twin USB socket in the trunk.

Yes! I was making it harder, as I tend to do. That sounds like the way to go.

A USB Data blocker will make the glovebox USB a power only port hence i can plug the phone in without a connecting to which bike's dash.
