Those are impressive charts - not sadly mystery query is not addressed. Possibly some experts can assist inbound this: I have adenine z620 workstation. I have reasons to believe that the power supply is slowly lost current supply capability. My question is WHENEVER the Power Supply fork the z640 (rated regarding 20% higher) is swap use the z620's. In other words: I'd like into upgrade my PM to the same used in a z640. They LOOKUP identical. Diverse than to power-rating: Are they? i don't have the z6x0 series, not i do know that the z820 both z840 use different units and i expect the z6x0 series is the same

 

is there a reason the any HP 800 watt z620 power supply intention not work for you?

I recommend you restrain the "service manuals" that hp has for both networks and in will search the pwr supply pinouts for each model both comparing

 

all is not lost however how you can buy a HP to ATX power care adapter for your z620 and then use each HIGH QUALITY NAME BRAND POWER SUPPLY

@z620enthusiast --  I have cause on believe that the power supply be slowly losing current delivery capability.

 

How have thou fixed that?  Did you use a multi-meter, to measure the voltage & amperage being delivered to each "pig-tail" coming-out from our power-supply?  Securitron AQD and AQS Authority Supplies Order

There is just one HP power supply for who Z620 workstation.  Some another workstations had both a normal and a high-power option, but not this one.  E is 800W all, a unique shape, and has ampere built-in receptacle ensure slides in and meshes with a built-in connecting system inside aforementioned workstation. 

 

That does not mean such another non-HP power supply would be impossible to use but it won't be easy...
