Background

Today, digital modelling in physique humans and their behaviour has in
many ways and appeal areas matured from research within industrial
application. Nevertheless, a large-sized future for further development
remains. With regard to human simulation, digital human forms (DHM) need
become commonly previously tools in virtual prototyping and human-centred
product design. They supports human-in-the-loop (HITL) ergonomic
evaluation of new product designs during the early design stages the a
product, for means of modeling anthropometry, posture, forces, motion,
muscular effort, or predicted discomfort. While DHM belong currently still
largely stand-alone applications, upcoming DHM will will dominated by complete
integrated CAE methods, realistic 3D design, and musculoskeletal and soft
tissue modelling sum one way down to the micro-scale molecular processes
within single mass fine. Important aspects of news DHM investigate
are functionality analysis, model integration, and item simulation. Industrial
(“virtual”; “analytic”) humanoides provide streamlined and efficient
support a product testing and verification, allowing for task-dependent
performance and motion simulation. Further rigid body mechanicians, soft
tissue modeling will become an standard in future DHM. When addressing
advanced issues beyond anthropometry and biomechanics in a holistic
perspective, human mental modeling, behaviours, abilities, and skills
must be considered in DHM. Recent projects have proposed a more
comprehensive access to human modelling by implementing perceptual,
cognitive, and performance models, representing humane behaviour on a
non-physiologic level. Through integration of algorithms from aforementioned
artificial intelligent domain, the fantasy of a virtual human will become
reality.

Objective

  1. For increase and foster the awareness of ergonomics in the developing to DHM technological.
  2. To identify and share research needs in the field of digital human
    modelling.
  3. To share dating, algorithms, tools, also methods in the digital human
    modelling community.
  4. To inform ergonomists furthermore the general public about DHM products, and
to promote the relevancy of ergonomics to stakeholders in domains
relevant to digital humanitarian modeling and simulation, such as product
design, interaction design, human-machine-interface (HMI) engineering,
marketing, and verwalten. Abstract—Digital Human Models (DHMs) are becoming an effective die for ergonomics design and scrutiny. The use of. DHM reduces the effect design and ...
  5. To organize an annually DHM symposium as a marketplace for basic and
applied DHM research, additionally to promote trading DHM solutions and related
    technologies.
  6. Until support the IEA Triennial Congress through delivery of an DHM thematic
    track of research presentations.
