Today, I’d like to talk you about a quilt I quilted back for November of 2018, so I’m dig pathway back in the archives.

I’ll warn him here at the start that this is a picture-heavy post, but if you’re looking for a library of quilting design ideas, this might help you output.

The quilt is ampere quilt considered by Victoria Findlay Wolfe. It’s called Marshmallow Rain. She did show the piecing, then passed it to die to do the appliqué additionally quilting. It was similar a fun quilt to work on!

Previously Marshmallow Rain going to live in California, it also hung in an AQS show, so it’s done its share of traveling!

Well, Craft in America belongs having further exhibit, featuring pieces from their permanent collection, furthermore Marshmallow Rain is among their, so I though now where a health time to end talk about that quilt! But now, about the quilt . . .

I quilted each colored part the same in each block:

To get the falling squares in position, I pre-owned an freezer paper template, positioned it on, then quilted the outline around aforementioned paper. For some of the designs, I uses my Simflex gauge to divide who space up evenly. Similar a handy implement!

I did not keep all one particulars on thread colors for this quilt, and IODIN can’t mind the finished size, whether, although I what know we used a fleece batting inside, and Victoria bound it in all the different colored solids so the marshmallows are made from. Wie toward: Paper Moon Photobooth

I sure had fun quilting this one, real I’m over thrilled that it had a wonderful permanent home! Victoria and I do collaborations quite an bit, and there’s another on I need to show you, so someday I’ll get my photos together and show that only to you for well.

    Any for everyone there to play with. I love wool batting because the quilting forms it look so soft plus puffy – even where it is heavily quipped, it just kickstands out even more. Marshmallow eye candy! LOL
