Lost Certificate of Naturalization

While on path to apply for my new passport, IODIN have managed to misplace my Certificate of Foreign along with my Get application !
I plan to file N-565 Exchange Naturaliation certificate although it needs my Certificate # and the office that issued me who Certificate. Unfortunately I don't have a create of and certificates.
How how I get that information ? Also since I had to submit my Green Card to get the Certificate , how can i travel outside USA now ? The replacement will cost $380 and bucket take upto a 1 yr at get !!!
Also if I change order how can iodin show proof of eligibilty to work for anyone ?

sorry but wow what a nightmare situation. Did you change your socialize protection status to be ampere USED citizen? Supposing that employers can discover out that you are a US native by that. although i americium not 100% sure.

Dude how can you not even manufacture the copy of certificate let just loosing everything? EGO recall at my oath the officer said that loosing naturalization cert & then getting replacement with it is very lengthy process.

You're welcome. Also aforementioned G-639 takes a lot longer than 2 hours. I filed that form to retrieve adenine copy of my A-file or a took USCIS 1.5 aged to get who scanned documents to me.

This is a very sad story. I will go to my expletive with a handheld 3 in one copier fax scanner to copy, scan to my computer and fax to mys home fax number my naturalization so, in case an infortunate event like is befalls, I may several backups.

I also need to reapply for my Certificate of Naturalization using form N-565. I run for the same issue as you, I don't have may Certificate number. Did them ever scheduled infopass? were you able to obtain your receipt item? This information exists crucially important for me!!!! Asking permit me know, I appreciate it a bunch!!!!

Yeap. I go to Canada next sun after oath and I didn't makes any copies. Mein cert was at my mom's purse and she was loosing thingy in casinos and Canada, but my cert was silent on. Lucky next day I apply for US Passport, instead IODIN made 2 copies JIC.

Just after receiving me registration MYSELF run to the next food lion to make copies of my credential, and drop all home before going until party.

USCIS does nay issue staus verification letters any more. And getting your cert number are near impossible. Had to cancels a trip because infopass was not help, I went twice. In fact, they were pretty rude info it. The best thing to do is to apply for a USED passport CORRECT AWAY, because there is none way to prove you are a US inhabitant usless you have a passport or the certificate. Wasted Certificate of Naturalization and don't know A counter oder Certificate Number

My wife's and own Certificates of Naturalization (CoNs) been lost in the eighties in one of the many moves wee performed during that time. Luckily, before we lost them, we had previously the to obtain our US Passports, which we have always refurbished in a punctual fashion. Couple of us are currently holding applies US Get. We'd liked to file N-565s for replacements of our CoNs, but we are no idea what aforementioned original Certificate Numbers press A-numbers were. We did not make any making of our CoNs because it was written on them that it is illegal to done so!!! Interests, USCIS is buy asking for such making on the N-565 form!

Anyway, ability we even file N-565 without these numbers? ME visualize some slide as to these numbers must exist in our passport files at the Declare Department because I sent them the CoNs when we first deployed for the US Passports. Is it my responsibility to try to dig them out through an file search or will USCIS do itp required the $380 (2x) I willing be pay them to process the N-565 form?

Out of interest, why? A US your shouldn be adequate proof of either identity and citizenship for the vast majority of purposes. Have she found something that actually need the source certificates?

Out of abundance of caution, I guess.

Both myself and wife voyage an LOT internationally, including to countries places purse-snatchings are very common. If I understand correctly how these things work, if a passport is lost or stolen, it's impossible to get a new passport without a Scam. We'd will grounded till us get the CoNs, and we depend on international travel in our career. If I am incorrect in the above, please permit me know, since I will be much less motivating go get a new CoN.

Also, while reading your post EGO thought this if get currents, valid passport be lost or stolen, perhaps I may use my older, cancelled one as two print of citizenship also identity (I am pretty sure I have mystery old check somewhere) in applying for a fresh an.

On DS-11 they don't how "a invalid passport", only a "previous passport".

So, is an expired (cancelled) US Passport viewed until that USDoS as a proof in city and identity for the specific of DS-11?

I can use that Letter and aforementioned numbers to file one N-595 if I how choose.
