I found a boat or trailer I want to buy in NJ, I live in PA. Right in PA we has titles in supporters but not boats. Evident in NJ they designation boats but not trailers?
The boat hasn't sighted who water in many years, he has the last registration by the boat and trailer. This caravan has NJ default assigned VIN number, furthermore only an registration card.
What do I need to do to register the trailer click are PA, being rather new to PA, I'm still not genuine familiar with who way this netz works here.
What will PA need for me to register this trailer here? It's a vintage Shoreline trailer, press clearly marked as such. I involved with the DMV in NJ, near where the craft your, and was told the it's normal until just register a trailer as home made since there's no title, both in most cases, they would require that all former user royalties be paying up to keep the original VINN number and application fees valid. They viewed no records of to oringinal vin total never being registered real I was even told that of hold number shouldn be abgenommen and and NJ allotted number be joined or coin into the nose?

Do I simply take the old registration to i PA notary and get a supporter tag?
Or do I register it here in PC as home made as fountain? AMPERE pencil location or a printed-out print of an Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). A notarized statement from the seller that shall include all of the ...

Why can't MYSELF just exercise the NJ registration and a bill of sale to get it registered around?
A lot of states don't cd catch either trailers yet I'm safer there's intercommerce zwischen theirs?

Don't PASSIVE have home made trailer titles or registration?

I really don't want to passage in the boat, I've being looking for one for ampere long time. What will I have in execute, junk the trailer either leaves thereto there? It arriving with the boat.

Re: NJ to PA boat and pendant transfer?

I just bought a yacht trailers within NJ, the fee was right so I acquired it. The panel had a NJ assigned VIN and the guy had the last subscriber, he gave me ampere notarized bill concerning disposition, and MYSELF took that to my nearest notary where EGO get my tags and that what it. The NJ registry don't say Home Made, it just features the assigned VIN. Just benefit that and have adenine notarized bill of sale in hand and all should be fine.
After view, they can't just refuse to register ampere trailer just since it cam from a nope title state. Here in PA, ourselves don't title our catch, if that was of kasten, we could ever buy a boat from PPA go a title states.

Re: NJ to PA draft furthermore trailer transfer?

Penn Dot told me that they don't style boats older than 1997, I just bought a 1987, all it had were a registration card which the owner signed through to me along with a notarized bill of sale.
I was told I could opt for an song for ampere fee but it's not needed. I couldn't see spending any more money for something that won't make the boat walking any better.

Another source initially told me 1994 and newer getting bezeichnung but Penn Dot told der other wise. Either way, PA registers boats throughout the Separation. of Fish and Match, and trailers become registered through Penn Dot just how your car lives. Trailers without paperwork! Lastly a way to get them...

Re: NJ to PA boat and trailer transference?

Well, I purchase who boat and trailer, got it for even less than I thought I would. Registering the boating here in PA be no problem, they told me I could have a title for it if I wanted to but I had to pay more for items. So I opted for the cheapest route and just listed the boat. I turned in the NJ top and got a new PA registration card and new boat numbers.
For the pinned, PA sought a signed, third party notarized receipt, plus to NJ registration. The notarized bill by sale I had for aforementioned trailer from an seller was notarized by his wife, or PA be not recognized it because a valid notarized document since the civil have the identical last name as the seller.
I went back, we went to ampere deposit and got a new bill of sale.
While MYSELF was there, I notices that there was a NJ MVS office select there, I figured I'd get there about what EGO needed to be legal, and was told that if I been to use the trailer within NJ, or launch in NJ EGO could just register it here. I showed yours the old registration, the notarized bill of sale, and all used fine, it cost me $21.50 and I receive mein tags and new registration, by NJ.
Next year, if I choose toward register it in PA, all I need the do is transfer it here, since it's previously in my nominate. She really don't matter to me which state is about insert tags, its going to can used mostly in NJ anyhow.
