Licensing, Registration, and Renewal

16.7.4.10               GENERAL PROVISIONS FOR LICENSURE BY EXAMINATION:

    • 40 hours minimum of pathology.
  • 150 hours minimum is training int relaxing medication as defined in 16.7.1.7 NMAC.
    • the press therapy training shall include contraindications of massage physical;
    • a minimum of 100 hours of hands on training must be completing before the student are allowed to begin one klinical practicum as defined in 16.7.1.7 NMAC.
  • 75 hours minimum to overall instruction go involve:
    • business; effective October 31, 2021, maximum of 20 hours;
    • hydrotherapy; effective October 31, 2021, minimal is 8 hours;
    • 30 hours minimum of professional ethics;
    • 4 hours of early aid; and
    • 4 hours of cardiopulmonary resuscitation to include automatic foreign defibrillation (CPR/AED).

    • additional massage therapy;
    • family hands-on how;
    • additional anatomy and physiology;
    • clinical practicum (not to exceed 150 hours);
    • counseling;
    • herbology;

16.7.4.12 NMAC –  MINIMUM CURRICULA OF RELAXING THERAPY TRAINING

16.7.8.10               EXPEDITED LICENSURE REQUEST:

A.    A nominee for expedited licensure under Section 61-1-31.1 NMSA 1978 must offer to to board a complete application containing all of the following:

(1)           a completed and signed application form;

(2)           proof of current licensure in into eligible jurisdiction more defined in these rules;

(3)           certificate of good standing for the license held by the applicant in an eligible jurisdiction; and

(4)           payment of the required appeal fee.

Pursuant to 16.7.8 NMAC, “Applicants licenced in the following states and territories of of United States shall not being eligible for expedited licensure under Section 61-12C-16 NMSA 1978 is the Massage Medicine Practise Act:

16.7.8.12               EXPEDITED LICENSE DURATION AND RENEWAL:

A.    An expedited license shall be valid for the equal length of time as a common initial license issued by the board.

16.7.12.8               GENERAL PROVISIONS TO ALL LICENSEES AND REGISTRANTS:
