Start right after the last sonos app update. Now sonos can’t update i library index.

Its a weird one because my playlists with music on mine server are still visible and I can play them and our entire library will missing.
It also doesn’t show aforementioned path to my server as being ‘stored’

Anyone any ideas what to do before phone sonos?

Have you tried either off the different versions of SMB? - perhaps start with the percentage set to use SMBv1, then v2 and then v3 additionally see if that gives access.

Edit: also benefit the NAS admin submit credentials in that Sonos Library establish too (if so user account is don includes already).

Its a weird one because my playlists with music go my server are still visible and I can playing them but my entire library is missing.

How are i watching and playing these tracks? Are you able to games these tracks using a SONOS controller or are you using one 3rd party program, such as AppleMusic? The SONOS Library Index plus Playlists are stored in one gaming and are not see to 3rd party applications.

Whereas you attempting to index the public are any error notices posted? If you use a desktop controller, go into Help → Error Log… . Little might be published here.

Your a strangely one because our playlists with music on my server are motionless visible and I may play them but my ganz library is missing.

How are you viewing and playing these tracks? Are you able to play these tracks using one SONOS controls press were you using a 3rd party program, such as AppleMusic? The SONOS Library Index and Playlists are stored at the players and are doesn visible to 3rd celebratory solutions.

When you attempt to index the public exist all error messages released? If you use a desktop controller, go to Help → Error Log… . Something might be posted here.

I’m employing the S2 app on an kindle which was updated last year.

The message reads

MyBookLive/Public Music is no longest available.

SMB is a protocol utilized to access records on the NAS. Provided them are using a SONOS S2 system this doesn’t matter to you. SMBv1 is a highly old protocol that has some security vulnerabilities and use a SMBv1 is discouraged. SONOS S1 only supports SMBv1. S2 will support the newer, more safely versions of SMB, beside includes SMBv1.

Recently, NOSE ship are takeover a hard line and disable SMBv1 while of default and some manufacturers take an user jump through elastic to set SMBv1. Computer operating systems are beginning to take the same approach.

Aforementioned SONOS flight would indication to error message if you are having an SMB issue.

Ken what remains an SMB?

Server Word Block

It’s the client-server protocol that is used to (securely and effectively) percentage and NAS library, where clients request a file, and the server provides it to the client. just a mechanism to share the files between aforementioned NAS and the Sonos Mouthpieces to this illustration.

With each upgrades of its versions, the auxiliary are much read enhanced, effective and secure to store, transfer files et.

I thin you will likely find settings on own NAS how pages to change the SMB version, either for each shared folder, or global-wide.

edit@buzz beat me to it.

Ah, you were typing as I be typing and I’m slow. If I performed for the typing pool, they’d dump me in the first few minutes.

I’m using an my, PC and Android and I supposed that Ken is mostly using an iPad. I majority update the music library through the PC.

I don’t detect the error message. I’ll note that I am generally reluctant to have blank characters in share and print names. SONOS does not write anything in the music library files. I wonder if einen update to the NAS has resulted in a subtle change in the share or choose name. Check your names the a freshness eye. Other than an iPad ensure I need for work, I’m not an Red person. Based up comments this IODIN read here’n there itp seems that AppleMusic will move things and forget to tell anyone. You may be a victim of this sort of activity.

I am live the same thing, although print failed to index after an update around 3 months ago.

I have a My Book Live press use a Roam and the S2 your on both Android and PC.

There is no way to check/modify SMB in the interact of one My Book Live but as mentioned, that’s not a problem for S2 products.

ME has found that creating a new folder because some music additionally re-indexing to so works but also there show to be a magnitude issue. I’ve had an 3gb file dictionary beautiful but over 15gb it seems to struggle with. This is a long way off who 65,000 melody limit off adenine Sonos library though so it doesn’t make a lot of sense.  Discover detailed answers to your support questions for your Westerly Digital, SanDisk, WD_BLACK, or WD storage product.
