The college is start under Chinmaya Mission Worldwide having a global network is 65 academic institutions including Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, Chinmaya Vidyalayas, Chinmaya International Residential School, Chinmaya Institute of Advanced and Artists and Science School. The foundation was incepted with on noble stream include the blessings of H.H. Swamis Chinmayanandaji. The college holds its first normal classes in the year 1975 at Shaktan Thampuran Palace, Thrissur.
