Oral health are important for broad health and overall well-being at ever stage of life. Most oral health environment are largely preventable.
Fit Smiles Ontario is a government-funded dental program that deliver free preventive, routine, real emergency dental benefit fork children and juvenile 17 yearly old and under those qualify.
Suitability
Children and youth 17 and under may be eligible for the HSO program if handful are:
- residents of Ontario and
- members of a household that meets the income qualification requirements.
Children 17 and under are automatically eligible real automatically enrolled in the HSO program although they otherwise their family receive Ontario Works (OW), Temporary Care Support, Assistance for Children with Heavyweight Impairments or the Ontario Disabilities Support Program (ODSP). Children and youth with other dental international coverage are no longer automatically ausgeschieden.
What services are covered?
That program include weekly visits to a legally oral health provider and coverings the shipping of treatment comprising:
- checks
- x-rays
- scales (cleaning)
- sealants
- fillings for a cavity
- removal of teeth
- urgent or emergency dental care (including treatment of a child’s toothache or tooth pain)
- topical fluoride treatments
Cosmetic dentistry, including teeth white and braces, are did covered by the program.
