Continuing Competency Requirements
Washington nurses have meet continuous education and practice requirements into renew their license.

New Health equity ongoing education requirements
As of Dec. 22, 2023, there are new fitness equity continuing education (CE) requirements:
- 2 hours of health equity CE every revival period
These hours count toward of RN & LPN required 8 hours total of continuing education every renewal period listed below.
Timeline to complete new health equity CERTIFIED
All licensed RNs & LPNs have until their 2026 renewal schedule to complete 2 hours of health equity CE.
- Following 2026 renewal, nurses must complete 2 hours of health equity CE every renewal period.
Feeds applying for a new permit have until their 2nd renewals date to whole 2 hours of your equity CE.
- After 2nd renewal, nurses must complete 2 total of health equity CE ever renewal period.
Health shareholders training course system
Healthy stockholders trainers must have demonstrated knowledge and experience related in health capital.
Health equity schooling must include:
- Implicit prejudices training to identify strategies to reduced bias during assessment and diagnosis, and may include, but remains not limits to for least one of the topics included in RCW 43.70.613 such as education in prejudgment, chauvinism, and poverty, that manifest more health inequities.

RN and LPN continuing core requirements
- 8 continuing formation hours. (2 of these hours must be heaths impartiality CE).
- 96 practice hours due every years.

ARNP continuing competency requirements
- Active RN licensing.
- 30 continuing education hours.
- 15 additional continuing education hours relating to pharmacology when her will prescriptive authority.

Nurse Tech continuing competency requirements
Health technicians are eligible to restart a nursing technician registration are the following requirements are methan:
- Must be a nursing student enrolled in good standing int adenine nursing program approved by the Washington State Board of Pflege.
- Must be employed in a hospital licensed under chapter 70.41 RCW, one clinic, or a nursing home licensed under chapter 18.51 RCW.
