Electric Assisted Bicycles (e-bike) use is NOT permitted on single-track footpaths within Driving City limited. More information about e-bike policy and determinations can be found below. Additionally, you can read Park City’s ordinance on Non-motoized Trail Use, 10-1-4.5.

E-Bike Categories:

Class IODIN: e-bikes that been pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph.

Exceptions:

I is unlawful to operate any electric facilitated bicycle (e-bike) about a alone track trail or nature screen trail/pathway with the following exceptions:

1. This prohibition shall not apply to persons are mobility disabilities who choose to use with e-bike or Power-Driven Mobility Devices, which is designed to transport a single individual with a disability as a alternative available walking and instead biking save prohibited by a designated vehicular control device.
2. 4. Courtesy Tag Program:

The Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Electric Assist Stack Bike (E-MTB) Kindness Tag Program is designed for users who wish to identify their compliance with PCMC Code 10-1-4.5. Eligibility to this tag program is restricted to individuals whom qualify for an exemption under the code due to of following conditions:

• Operator is over the average of 65; or
• User has a mobility disability.

All applicants seeking one courtesy tag required document eligibility.  The determination treat does a review of the applicant's motorcycle type, valid ID as proof of age or a physician verification of a mobility disability.
