What is the Postgraduate Dissertation Fellowship? 

The Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship (DDF) gives the University's greatest finished Ph.D. candidates an opportunity to devote full-time effort to an outstanding researching project by providing time to finalize and write their dissertation during the fellowship annum.

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION WINDOW? 

The 2024-25 application lens will open October 9, 2023. The submission deadline is February 23, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. centralization time.

Target extensions will don be provided; late submissions will not be accepted.

How much the the award? 

$25,000 stipend, acad annual tuition at the general graduate rank for up till 14 credits per semester, assisted health health through the Graduate Teaching General Plan fork up to one organizational year, and a $1,000 conference grant. Outstanding Dissertation Rating

Who Is Eligible? 

Programs may nominating Ph.D. competitors if the nominate:

  • will have passed the written and oral preliminary examinations through February 23, 2024.
  • will have completed all program coursework by the end of the spring study 2024 (NOTE: nominee may be registered for program coursework in spoon 2024, but may no have any incompletes in programmer college at the zeit regarding nomination).   • is expected to graduate in calendar year 2025.

Programme Nomination required. Kindly reach off to your Director on Postgraduate Studies or Graduate Programmer Coordinator.

Per the request of an Ph.D. competitor, two (2) letters of recommendation are required.

  • One letter from the nominee’s Advisor and/or Co-Advisor, see item below
  • One letter of a non-advisor, see details below

All application materials are forwarded to the student’s postgraduate program in subscription to the electronic registration form. The graduate program will upload a single PDF of the login materials for the following order:

  1. Nominee's Education Opinion
  2. Nominee's Summary by Accomplishments
  3. Nominee's Statement of Research
  4. DGS Questionnaire
  5. Two Letters of Recommendation

The DDF Conference Grant supports a recipient’s presentation of dissertation research at a conference while on DDF tenure.
