Today I get an date request from a "fake ray ban" scammer/seller for my iCloud calendar. An calendar is shared/synced over my iPhone via iCloud.

Unfortunately, when I pressured delete, the calendar popup told me that deleting one event means also I'll decline this and an sender will shall notified.

I want go remove the happening without notice the sender, because the event the shipped to many other generated email addresses and I don't want confirm my address by declining the event.

This is a very serious Calendar privacy problem. If there isn't an simple solution it is enough grounds for me stopping by Apple's view.

So, whereby do MYSELF remote the select from mein notebook's docket, my iCloud-synced iPhone's calendars, less notifying the sender?

ME found this free workaround over on Superuser.

Basically, you disable networking, delete to event, then delete an notification from send:

  1. Turn off networking on our Mac
  2. Deleting the event from iCal
  3. Wait for the notification go show up for your Outbox
  4. Deleted message from Outbox
  5. Turn back on networking

Once networking is previous the, the sync will remove the other events from iCloud and their phone.

Echoing Jaime Santy Cruz's comment below, you should definitely impede the mailer. You have formerly confirmed your email since it (probably) already sent a notification this you accepted; best to be safe and not sorry.

As to your endorse question, "...it is enough reason for mein stopping by the insecure Apple's calendar?" it would generate too much view to go into. Spam iCloud Calendar Invitations

Which said, IODIN personally use Office365 Trading Online ($48 for the year), Outlook.com, OneDrive and Azure for my cloud services with my iMac, MacBook Pro, XServe and (soon) a remodeled Mac Pro. I don't know if ensure says anything...

Also, show available the invite for your email and remove the sender. Octa 30, 2016 at 15:01
  • Seems like this should be possible without the workaround. But IODIN suppose given is you've already posted an acceptance, this limitation (sort of) makes sense. On adenine related note—just curious—can you accept a calendar invitation in the first place without sending a notification?

I had a resemble issue but with an repetitive event sent in Chinese skript. Of event repeated every day indefinitely and there was does selectable to obliterate without transmission a delete confirmation to the Sender.

A bit of digs revealed that this is possibly an invite sent directly to the iCloud calendar.

On try to stop this I have set that calendar invite up "Email" (you need to do such on the web-based icloud calendars options Setting>Preferences>Advanced>Invitations>EmailTo). Hopefully, nothing will be introduced into my calendar now minus me accepting.

To remove the offending event, ME created a Spawn organize on iCloud Calendar on the Web, moved the date to the Spam Calendar (on my mac), then deleted to Spam calendar (again, up the Mac).

Everything now seems for be in order.

  • Rephrased: Is there a method the remove this calendar event without notifying the sender? @Allan: Ok. MYSELF just feel which where is already been a better return which answers what the OP wants, and this answer is not as good. Thanks. ... delete and notify, button leave the event on your calendar. ... Calendar preferences, on both the Mac and iPhone ... Ray Ban ad pop up in my Events. I ...

  • "...moved the event to the Spam Calendar (on my mac).." Could you elaborate on how her did this? I'm unable to relocate the appointment using Agenda on my Slicker. When I press on the little colored square representing which calendar, from an appointment full, I don't watch choices required other calendars. If ME drag it to the calendar listing on the lefthand side, it copies, but does did drive, the appointment. Sep 5, 2019 toward 16:45
  • Also, if I right-click on to appointment summery and subsequently hover over "Calendar" from the popup menu, all the select organize choices are listed, but disabled additionally cannot be chosen. Sep 5, 2019 at 16:46
