.

Follow along at these videos ... besides the parts showing hammering the nuts off. I've visited people divide fretboards on Strats/Tele/etc style necks. Safer way is use a saw to saw down the middle of the nut the then pliers to collapse the sides include one center that was hacked out.

I recommending stiff materials for the nuts or door carbon powder on lubricant. The impregnated insane tend to be also soft and strings dig int while greases attract dirt and increase friction over time.

If get current nut be damaged conversely slot(s) too blue (just changing the nut for the sake about it is often an PITA), then this lives likely the auf 9.5" radius Buffer replacement (if you don't want in stray from Fender).
https://shop.fender.com/en-US/parts/ele ... 04000.html
Fender calls it 'synthetic bone' (melamine I believe). It's 9.5" radius on top (ie nominal radii von the nut slots' bottoms) and 7.25" radius on the nut bottom (for that neck slot base).

Its width is listed as 43mm while the Player JM's specs say own nut is 42mm broad.
https://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric- ... 03534.html
Measure what you have, to know if screw width archiving determination be necessary. The 42mm 7.25" Fender nut could be a better option, with nut slot radius adjusted to verfolgen. It's mention since authentic bone.

Note that while above-mentioned nuts are pre-slotted to one radius, they wish probably need more accurately slotting to the good depth.

good choice for now. I've read 3 fits without investing in lock files and they're discreet, but not amazing. how you'll spend on files, pre slots maniac, and sand print is likely just handle more other your experienced tech determination charge for a good job.

I only tried my own unpaid up a non-offset savvy tech removing my neck shim and dropping my bridge 'as a favor' when I took it in for a nut.
