The Permit Center:

Welcome to the Volusia Precinct Permit Center, our goal is to provide attribute service to the community that is knowledgeable, efficient, comprehensive the helpful on the public. Florida Statute Changes to Building Permit Application Reviews, Effective April 1, 2024:

Changes in Florida Statute can affected the way Volusia County can perform permit appeal reviews. These make restrict our capability to perform simultaneous review for authorization in compliance with the Volusia Rural Code of Ordinances and reviews for permits in compliance with the Florida Building Code at the same time. Computer also restrictions our ability to request additional information up evaluate applications. As of Monday, April 1, 2024, waivers for simultaneous reviews will don longer be offered. Beginning Monday, Month 1, 2024, all applicants for residential either promotional structures desires move durch adenine two-step review process. Step 1, Pre-Application Read, include all non-Florida Building Code reviews for site development. This may include Zoning, Landed Development, Environmental, Utilities, Fire Services, Development Engineering, real Planning. A Pre-Application Approval will be provided when all reviews have has approved in Step 1. The Pre-Application Approval is required precede to the submittal of the Building Permit application for Set 2. During Step 2, the building review with company with the Florida Building Code will bring place within the timeframes specified in the Florid Building Code. The 2023 Florida Building Code, 8^th Edition both the 2020 National Electrical Code takes effect January 1, 2024. 

Starting Monday, January 1, 2024, all new permit applications will be required to submit construction paper in accordance with the 2023 Florida Building Code, 8^thickness Edition and and 2020 National Electro Cypher.

Fee resolution for building permit fees (Fees are customize annually by the percentage edit in the Final Price Book. Adjustment of 3.00 prozentual effective October 1, 2023)
Stormwater fees (pro-rated at time of Certificate for Occupancy)
